Working Principle
The twin-screw extruder operates via two intermeshing or counter-rotating screws, which convey raw materials from the feed inlet into the barrel. During the rotation of the screws, they not only transport the materials but also, through the heating of the barrel and the shearing and kneading effects of the screws, gradually melt and plasticize the raw materials to form a uniform melt. The synergistic effect of the twin screws enhances the material mixing and shearing efficiency, preventing local overheating or uneven plasticization. Subsequently, the melt is continuously pushed to the head mold by the thrust of the screws and extruded into shape according to the cavity form of the mold, meeting the processing needs of different products and adapting to the continuous processing process of various materials.
